Mr. Charles “Chuck” Van Den Toorn, age 58 of Grand Rapids, passed away on October 16, 2021 while in the company of his family. He was preceded in death by his parents William and Joanne Van Den Toorn. Chuck is survived by his siblings, Ben (Wanda) Van Den Toorn, Andy (Cindy) Van Den Toorn, Marlene (Bob) Bibby and Bill (Laurie) Van Den Toorn as well as by his special friend Sherri Clark and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was a 1981 graduate of Northview High School and enjoyed working with Hope Network in Grand Rapids serving in various capacities for many years. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 22, 2021 at 9:30 AM at the Heritage Life Story funeral home, Van Strien Creston Chapel, (1833 Plainfield NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49505) with Rev. Herman Hofman officiating. Relatives and friends are invited to meet with his family at funeral home on Thursday, October 21, 2021 from 5-7 PM. Chuck will be laid to rest next to his parents in Fairplains Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Edison Christian Foundation, (1000 Edison, Grand Rapids, MI 49504) are appreciated.
