Age 95, passed away June 2, 2021. Betty was a longtime member of Central Reformed Church, Kendall Guild of Butterworth Hospital, and Greenridge Country Club. She was a speech pathologist working with cleft palate children, she will be remembered for her painting and love for her grandchildren. Betty is survived by her children, Pamela (Milton) Tignor of West Palm Beach, FL, Gordon (Jerilee) Ripma of Tequesta, Fl; 4 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; brother, Roy Datema of Vero Beach, Fl; several nieces and nephews. Betty was preceded in death by her husbands, Kenneth Ripma, Richard DeWitt; grandson, Michael Caplia, Jr.; and sister, Maxine Jeltema. Visitation Only will be held Tuesday, June 22, 2021 from 11-12:30 PM at Heritage Life Story Funeral Home, 1833 Plainfield Ave NE. Interment will be in Fairplains Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Operation Smile.
