Alice VanSingel

Alice Marie Lee Van Singel, age 90, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 12, 2020. She was born in Grand Rapids, MI in the spring of 1930 to the late Jack and Frances Shippy. Along with her parents, Alice is preceded in death by her loving husband of seventy years, Robert Van Singel. Alice is survived by her daughter Marcia (Gary) Veenstra and grandchildren Melissa (Tom) Johnson, Lisa Veenstra, and Janel (Jeremy) Quick as well as by seven great-grandchildren: Tommy, Allison, Austin, Dylan, Avery, Brady and Emerysn. Also surviving is her sister Barbara Stuk. Alice will also be missed by her dear friend Edith Predue. She will be fondly remembered as an attentive and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Given current governmental COVID restrictions, Alice will be laid to rest next to her husband Bob in Washington Park Memorial Gardens with a funeral service and gathering for family and friends to be scheduled at later date.
