Alan D. Kwast, age 77 of Grand Rapids, passed away July 10, 2024. Alan was born in Benton Harbor, Michigan on October 31, 1946 to Eugene and Helen (Polashak) Kwast. After moving to Grand Rapids, he graduated from Union High School and then served in the United States Army. He then worked for the United States Postal Service for his entire career.
Alan is survived by his wife, Joyce “Darlene” Kwast; their children Petina Kwast, Rebekka (Eric) Adams; and sister, Elaine Courson.
Alan was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Gary Kwast; and sister, Susan Kwast.
Cremation has taken place and he will be interred at Fort Custer National Cemetery.
