Susan Flik

Susan Gail Flik, age 80, entered her heavenly home, July 23, 2026. Susan was born June 1, 1946 in Howell, MI to the late Elliott and Beulah (Sabin) Haarer. She was also preceded in death by her son, Brian Flik and her brother, David Haarer. Susan was a longtime member of Trinity Reformed Church where she enjoyed attending Bible studies. She worked for 50 years as an executive secretary, with Grotenhuis Insurance. Susan loved traveling, crafting, but most of all, loved being a mom and grandma. She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Oliver; grandchildren, Madelyn, Eli, Levi, Penny, Sally and Alex. Also surviving are her siblings, Janis Ludge and Daniel (Linda) Haarer; sisters-in-law, Susie Bechtel, Barb Teitsma, Kathy DeLaCruz; special friend, Barb VanBemden; and nieces, nephews and cousins. A funeral service will be held Friday, August 14, 2026 at 1 PM at Heritage Life Story Funeral Home, Alt & Shawmut Hills Chapel, 2120 Lake Michigan Drive NW. Friends may visit with her family beginning at 12 PM. Interment will be in Washington Park Memorial Gardens. Memorials are suggested to Corewell Hospice.
