John Guy Cisco, age 79, entered his heavenly home on February 15, 2026. John was born March 15, 1946, in Chicago, IL, to the late John Sr. and Josephine (Sandore) Cisco. He was also preceded in death by his granddaughter, Francine Jaworowski, and his brother, Russell Cisco. John had a deep faith that enabled him to navigate his life. He enjoyed Hot Rods and car shows, but he was most passionate about being a father, grandfather, and friend. John is survived by his life partner of 42 years and best friend, Karen Huyser; his children, Rachelle (Ed) Jaworowski, Sarah (Mark Larsen) Cisco, Dawn (Scott) Tribolet, David (Rosa) Frede, Billy Daniels; his grandchildren, Josephine (Ella) Ravencraft, Anthony (Laura Arriaga) Jaworowski, Derek John Haney, Graciella Larsen, Gabrielle (Josh) Weinmann, Alayna (Tyler) Tribolet-Drenth, Isabel Frede, Sofia Frede, Andrew Nummer, Anthony Nummer; and his great grandchildren, Baby Jaworowski due soon, Parker, Brooklyn, Lenora, and Beckett. He is also survived by his sister, Betty (Phil Doezema) Cooper; nephew, Richie Cisco; niece, Penny Cisco; former wife, Linda Cisco; and his four-legged best friend, Vinny.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 19, 2026, at 11 AM at Heritage Life Story Funeral Homes, Van Strien Creston Chapel, 1833 Plainfield Ave NE. Friends may visit with John’s family at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4-7 PM and beginning at 10 AM on Thursday. Interment will be in Plainfield Twp Cemetery.
