Janet Ricord

Ricord, Janet Sue In November 1935, Edward and Cecile Schlaudraff gave birth to twin baby girls in Columbus, Indiana. Their big brother Donald was so excited, as was the entire town. There were many articles published in the local newspaper about them. In December 1953, Mom married Forrest Felker Jr and together they had 6 children. Juanita (Dale) Raterink, Ted (Beth) Felker, Colleen Felker, Nancy (Tom) Wierenga, Betty (Rick) DeVinney, and Julie Hielkema. Mom married Ron Ricord in 1991, and soon after, moved to Baldwin until finally moving to their retirement home in 2018, where she lived until her passing. Mom will be remembered for the many quilts she made all of us, her love of gardening, and the “pretties” she found at flea markets. She enjoyed winters in Florida, and loved spending time with family. Mom leaves behind her best friend Tillie (cat), 6 children, 14 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren. She will be missed by all. A private service will be held.
