Life Story / Obituary
Aristeo “Dale” Marquez, age 78, passed away at Butterworth Hospital after a short illness. Dale was born September 3, 1946 in Mexico to the late Frutoso and Cirila Marquez. He was also preceded in death by his stepdaughter, Shannon Ramirez; and in-laws, Billy Stanfield, Roy Stanfield and Kim McKnight. On May 18, 1991, he married Linda Stanfield. His wife of 34 years survives as do his children, Eleazar (Diana) Marquez, Ester (Kevin) Lodes, Irma (Steve) Schlack, Ofelia Marquez, Stephanie (Robert) Gonzales, Lisa Flores; 16 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; and the mother of his children, Maria Marquez. Dale is also survived by his siblings, Mary Vasquez, Paul (Janie) Ortiz, Rick (Cora) Marques, Frutoso (Mirna) Marquez Jr.; in-laws, Barbara Reed, Nancy (Fred) Cramer, Lewann Stanfield, Kathy (Pat) Shea, David (Ann) Stanfield, Debbie (Ronald) Joseph, Ben McKnight, Randy (Lovera) Stanfield, Sandy (Ralph) Edwards; and many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held Saturday, June 7, 2025 at 11 AM at Heritage Life Story Funeral Homes, Alt & Shawmut Hills Chapel, 2120 Lake Michigan Drive NW. Friends may visit beginning at 10 AM at the funeral home. Entombment will be in Rosedale Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to David’s House Ministries.
