Arlene Muilenberg

Arlene Marie Muilenberg, age 92, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, February 28, 2019 while in the loving presence of her children. Arlene was born in the spring of 1926 in Grand Rapids to the late George and Marie (Oom) Larink. Along with her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband Marvin. Arlene was a long time member of Richmond Reformed Church and had been an active volunteer in her community both with Butterworth Hospital and with Hospice of Michigan. She enjoyed her home at Covenant Village Great Lakes where she was a dear friend to many. She is survived by her daughter, Sandy (Larry) Gray; sons Terry (Jeannine), Michael (Christine) and David (Angela) Muilenberg and 16 Grandchildren as well as by her in laws LaVonne Apol, Phyllis (Robert) Ellis, Ken (Donnivee) Muilenberg and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services, officiated by Pastor Christopher Westerbeek, will be held Monday, March 4, 2019 at 11 AM at the Heritage Life Story Funeral Home (2120 Lake Michigan Drive NW, Grand Rapids, MI 49504). Friends may visit with family at the funeral home on Sunday, March 3, 2019 from 2-5 PM as well as for one hour prior to the service on Monday. In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Arlene’s memory may be made to either Richmond Reformed Church (1814 Walker Ave NW, Grand Rapids, MI 49504) or to Covenant Village of Great Lakes, Benevolence Fund (2510 Lake Michigan Dr NW, Grand Rapids, MI 49504).
