Norris Edward Brookens

Norris Edward Brookens, aged 90, of Grand Rapids, went to be with his Lord on Wednesday, November 6, 2019 at Edison Christian Health Center. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lois Brookens; his sisters, Jane (Jim) Miller and Gwen (Monte) Thompson; sister-in-law, Janet Brookens. He is survived by his children, Mark (Nancy) Brookens, Tim (Marsha) Brookens, Kalynne Brookens (Paul Newcomb), Teri Brookens and Curt (Margo) Brookens; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his brother, Galen Brookens; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, John (Carol) Jonkman and David (Shirley) Jonkman; many nieces, nephews and friends. The service to celebrate Norris’ life will be held Saturday, November 9, 2019, 11:30 am at Seventh Reformed Church, 950 Leonard St. NW. Friends and relatives may meet his family at the church on Saturday from 10:00 am until the service begins at 11:30 am.
