Margie Ann Lovell, aged 69 of Grand Rapids, passed away Tuesday August 27, 2019 while in the comfort of her home and in the company of her family. She was born in Savannah, GA in 1949 to James and Bertie Mae [Edwards] Wright. Along with her parents, Margie is preceded in death by her son James “Jim” and granddaughter Ashley Lovell; sister Cynthia Faye Wright and in-laws William (Lena) Lovell. Surviving are her Husband of 50 years, Roger and their children Edward (Shantih) Lovell and Kim (Geoff) Jackson; grandchildren Jesse, Curtis, Morgan, Sam, Emma; great grandchildren Keira, Skylar; sister Eleanor (Doug) Carl; sister in laws Linda (David) Lovell, Tootie Lovell, Betty Magoon and Patricia Lovell and many nieces, nephews and loved family and friends in both Michigan and Georgia. Margie had a zest for life and loved people. She loved cooking and always made more than enough to go around. She as an avid crocheter and enjoyed other crafts as well. Margie’s generous heart was particularly fond of children, often taking children into her home when needed. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with family Friday, August 30, 2019 from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at the Heritage Life Story Funeral Home, Van Strien Creston Chapel, (1833 Plainfield Ave. NE Grand Rapids, MI 49505). Margie’s funeral service will follow visitation beginning at 11:00 AM.
