Kevin Drew VanDyke passed away unexpectedly on September 15, 2020 in Grand Rapids, Michigan due to complications from pulmonary emphysema. He was 57.

Kevin was born on June 18, 1963 in Muskegon, MI to his parents, Barry VanDyke and Peggy Holland. He graduated from Whitehall Public School in 1981 and served in the National Guard in the late 1980’s. He loved sports, hunting, stamp collecting and bowling. When he wasn’t doing yard work for his dad, he loved long walks in the woods. He especially liked canoeing in Hesperia at his Grandparents cabin.

Kevin is preceded in death by his Dad, Barry VanDyke; his mom, Peggy Holland; grandparents Adam and Marie Felcoski, Harry VanDyke, Shirley Grevel; and stepson Kris Stanhope. Kevin is survived by his son, Adam VanDyke of Grand Haven, MI; his brother, Robert Griffin; sisters Kelly Wallish (Tom), Rian VanDyke, Traci VanBlargan (Clayton), Licia Carty-Ackerberg (Greg), Ashley VanDyke; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Cremation has taken place. No services are scheduled at this time.

There are wonderful memories of sledding during the winter months, camping out at the cabin in Hesperia, canoeing, kayaking and tubing that will always be treasured. He was a hard working man who took pride in his work.
