Helen Stricklen

Helen Stricklen, age 94, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, July 4, 2026.

Helen was born on November 15, 1931. She was a loving and devoted wife to Richard Stricklen for 61 years, and together they built a home centered on faith, family, and love. Richard preceded her in death in 2013.

She was also preceded in death by her sons, Jim and Larry Stricklen.

Helen is survived by her son, Tom and Cheryl Stricklen; her daughter, Vicki and Joel Thompson; her grandchildren, Tom and Tara Stricklen, Jodi Stricklen-Bott, Audrey Stricklen, Natasha and Alex Gordon, and Heather and Seth Day; along with her 14 beloved great-grandchildren, who brought her tremendous joy.

Helen will be remembered for her quick wit, love of music, her unwavering loyalty for her family, and her faith. Her laughter and steady presence touched the lives of those who knew her, and her legacy will continue through the family she built.

A graveside service to celebrate her life will be held with family in Grand Rapids, MI.
