Elizabeth Kooyers

KOOYERS (Boluyt) - Mrs Elizabeth L. Kooyers (Anthony, Boluyt) age 98, of Grand Rapids, passed away on June 6, 2026. She was preceded in death by her parents Anna and William Boluyt, 8 sisters and 5 brothers, husband Arthur R. Anthony and grandson Jake R. Anthony. Elizabeth is survived by baby sister Esther Dykstra (age 91), loving children, Janice (George) Ellison, Nancee (John) DeVogel and Richard (Kjersti) Anthony; husband, Paul Kooyers; step-daughter, Kathleen Kooyers; grandchildren, Michael (Dawn), Karen, and Bryan Ellison, Sarah (Brett) Western (DeVogel), Jaden (Eliza), and Cherith DeVogel; and great grandchildren, Lucas, and Jack Western, Ari, and Ozi DeVogel, Calum (Anna), Myka, and Sylas Spoelma, and Alexandra. Also surviving are many dear nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held at 11 AM at Heritage Life Story Funeral Home - VanStrien Creston Chapel, 1833 Plainfield Avenue in Grand Rapids on Friday, June 12. The family will receive visitors from 10:00 am until the service begins at 11:00 am. A private internment will be held at Graceland Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the hospice provider of your choice or to Ronald McDonald House.
